What she means: The Mamas & The Papas are one of the most underappreciated groups of all time and the only songs anyone knows are California Dreaming or Monday, Monday but their self-titled album was an absolute masterpiece and Cass who is only known now for choking on a ham sandwich (which didn’t happen and was merely a stupid assumption by a police officer who saw a ham sandwich on a nightstand) was arguably one of the best if not the best contralto of her time with an amazing range and the group harmonies were near perfect and even though their last album was just the product of a brief reunion and is widely considered their worst there were still 4 other amazing albums with so many hidden treasures that nobody cares about unless it’s If You Can Believe Your Eyes and Ears because it has California Dreaming and Monday, Monday
